Scanvo should always be contacted in case of damage and before any repairs take place. Scanvo determines where and how the repair should be carried out. Damages that are repaired without contacting Scanvo and reported afterwards will not be approved.

Our guarantees on new vehicles

Scania

When you purchase a new Scania from Scanvo, you always receive a 1 year factory warranty from the date of ownership transfer (unless otherwise agreed). This ensures that the vehicle is professionally repaired during the first year of use, regardless of the distance or amount the vehicle has been driven.

DAF

Vehicles can be delivered with Warranty Plus warranty from DAF, offering up to 3 years of warranty without mileage limitations on the vehicle and driveline, ensuring you carefree ownership. You can also take advantage of very beneficial service and repair agreements for your new DAF through Scanvo.

Volvo

When you purchase a new Volvo from Scanvo, you always receive a 1 year factory warranty from the date of ownership transfer (unless otherwise agreed), plus an additional 12 months (or a total of up to 300,000 km) driveline warranty. This ensures that the vehicle is professionally repaired during the first year of use.

Krismar

Krismar is a well-known supplier of custom-built vehicles. Krismar can assist you with designing everything from horsetrucks to vehicles for motor sports (large motorhomes) and other custom-built vehicles.

Constructions performed by Scanvo

We provide a 1 year warranty on work performed in the workshop, provided that the customer complies with our and the manufacturers maintenance instructions.

Important!
All bolted joints and hydraulic connections must be retightened after 2 weeks of operation. This is a prerequisite for our warranty to apply.

Trailers
To ensure that the warranty on your trailer is valid, you must contact the respective manufacturer before repairs begin. If there is any uncertainty, please feel free to contact us at Scanvo - we will guide you!

Maintenance/Lubrication Schedule
Refer to the axle manufacturers maintenance schedule in the accompanying information booklet to meet the requirements during the warranty period. BPW steering axles should be lubricated every 6 weeks. Detailed descriptions and images of lubrication points are also provided.

Note:
There is a possibility to obtain up to a 5 year warranty on selected parts of axles and suspension, provided that the manufacturers recommended service plan is carried out and documented in the service/warranty booklet. For more information, see the information booklet from the axle manufacturer.

First Inspection after 500-1 000 km
After the first 500-1000 km of driving with a load, an inspection of the trailer must be performed for the warranty to continue to apply. The schedule in the instruction manual should be completed, signed, and stamped by a competent workshop after the listed points have been checked.

This inspection/tightening is performed to ensure a safe and stable trailer, as well as to identify any potential issues with the trailer and address them at an early stage to minimize costs for the owner/user.

Our guarantees on used vehicles

Used vehicles

Scanvos right of claims applies, in cases where it was agreed upon the time of transaction, for 20 days after the change of ownership.

The right of claims applies to the driveline, which includes the following:
Damage to the engine (bearings, axles, gears, pistons, liners, connecting rods, cylinder heads, fuel pumps, injectors, compressors, air dryers, turbos, water pumps, exhaust manifolds), gearbox, and driving axle (bearings, axles, gears, housing, propeller shaft) in case of sudden and unforeseen cutting or breakage of these parts.

Other parts that also are included:
Air bags, control units, tachograph and turntable.

The right of claims does not cover the following:
Towing or the right to a replacement vehicle, the right to financial compensation for any loss that the vehicle owner may suffer due to machinery damage, for personal injuries, or consequential damage to other materials not covered in the agreement. Nor does it cover cases where the fault is due to negligence or carelessness. Interruption protection is not included. If the damage is covered by an insurance company, Scanvo will not cover any costs. Brakes, tires, clutch plates, electrical systems, electronics (including control units), AC, suspension (including airbags), shock absorbers, air/liquid lines, air/liquid valves, body parts.

Repairs of a vehicle covered by the right of claims, are performed using new parts or replacement parts, as determined most suitable by the customer together with Scanvo and the workshop. The work should be carried out during regular working hours, and any transport of parts should be done using standard shipping. Emergency work is only performed if the customer is willing to pay the additional cost. Damage to items such as paint, body, plastic parts, lights, fenders, interior, windows, etc. - which were not pointed out at delivery and for which no corrective action was agreed upon - will not be reimbursed afterwards.

Any disputes shall be resolved in the Varberg District Court (Varbergs Tingsrätt).
