Scanvos right of claims applies, in cases where it was agreed upon the time of transaction, for 20 days after the change of ownership.
The right of claims applies to the driveline, which includes the following:
Damage to the engine (bearings, axles, gears, pistons, liners, connecting rods, cylinder heads, fuel pumps, injectors, compressors, air dryers, turbos, water pumps, exhaust manifolds), gearbox, and driving axle (bearings, axles, gears, housing, propeller shaft) in case of sudden and unforeseen cutting or breakage of these parts.
Other parts that also are included:
Air bags, control units, tachograph and turntable.
The right of claims does not cover the following:
Towing or the right to a replacement vehicle, the right to financial compensation for any loss that the vehicle owner may suffer due to machinery damage, for personal injuries, or consequential damage to other materials not covered in the agreement. Nor does it cover cases where the fault is due to negligence or carelessness. Interruption protection is not included. If the damage is covered by an insurance company, Scanvo will not cover any costs. Brakes, tires, clutch plates, electrical systems, electronics (including control units), AC, suspension (including airbags), shock absorbers, air/liquid lines, air/liquid valves, body parts.
Repairs of a vehicle covered by the right of claims, are performed using new parts or replacement parts, as determined most suitable by the customer together with Scanvo and the workshop. The work should be carried out during regular working hours, and any transport of parts should be done using standard shipping. Emergency work is only performed if the customer is willing to pay the additional cost. Damage to items such as paint, body, plastic parts, lights, fenders, interior, windows, etc. - which were not pointed out at delivery and for which no corrective action was agreed upon - will not be reimbursed afterwards.
Any disputes shall be resolved in the Varberg District Court (Varbergs Tingsrätt).
